We are residents committed to the opposition of the Moss 3 Landfill in Russell County, Virginia

WE DID IT! On June 10th, 2024, The Russell County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to cease the proposed landfill negotiations! Thank you to all of our volunteers and community members for your hard work and dedication to stop this landfill. We are so proud of you all!

However, the fight is not over. We need to remain vigilant to ensure that the 1991 ordinance is not repealed. Please continue to come to all meetings and events! The BOS is having a budget meeting on June 29th. On July 5th from 4-11 p.m., we are celebrating at the Town of Cleveland’s Independence Day Celebration at the Cleveland Recreational Center.

To celebrate our victory and help to document our fight, we’d love for everyone to upload pictures (on our Facebook page) of their NO LANDFILL signs, shirts, and stickers in the wild with hashtag #NoMoss3Landfill

Whoever uploads the best photo will a $50 Food City gift card from one of our generous donors. Make sure to include the hashtag so we can include your entry in the judging!
